• Reading Progress: Quran reading position, streaks, hasanat points, and completed surahs — stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers.
• Group Data: Group memberships, messages, and voice session participation.
• Device Info: Device type, OS version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain QuranicConnect services
• Sync your reading progress across devices
• Enable group features (circles, voice rooms, chat)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Send important service updates (not marketing)

3. Data Storage & Security

Reading progress is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. If you create an account, data is also stored on our secured servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

4. Third-Party Services

• Quran Audio: Audio recitations are streamed from everyayah.com. Requests are made directly from your device.
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or sell your data to anyone.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:

• When required by law or legal process
• To protect the safety of our users

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Account deletion anonymizes all personal data. You can also reset local reading progress by clearing the app's data in your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

QuranicConnect is suitable for all ages. Group creation requires users to be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
